Thus far, the Miami Dolphins have been able to overcome every challenge they have faced. They started the season by beating Bill Belichick's Patriots, then came back and beat Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, and then defeated the Super Bowl favourite Buffalo Bills in Week 3. The defending American Football Conference champion Cincinnati Bengals are up next for them on Thursday night.
Is it possible that the Dolphins could keep their perfect record going? Will they win their first game of the season, or will the Bengals spoil the party? Soon enough, we'll know. Here's how to catch the action before we get into who's playing whom:

If the Dolphins are in possession of the ball
The Dolphins have the most intriguing offence in the NFL thus far this season. Since Mike McDaniel was in charge of the 49ers' running game as coordinator, many predicted that he would implement a similar system to that of new head coach Kyle Shanahan, one that relied primarily on the run and play action, bootleg passing principles. However, only a portion of that has actually taken place.
According to Tru Media, Miami is second in the NFL in pass rate over expectation, despite the fact that they are not a run-heavy team. While McDaniel has adopted some of Shanahan's ideas for the run game and play action, the Dolphins use the shotgun formation and run-pass option concepts to a much greater extent than McDaniel's last club did, likely because these are the areas in which Tua Tagovailoa excels.

The Dolphins' Defense
Miami's RPOs, real-play action, and rapid screens work wonderfully on film. These strategies are designed to get the ball out of Tagovailoa's hands and into the hands of their speedy playmakers as quickly as possible.
The Bengals may find success by utilising Cover 2 man with inside leverage to limit the Dolphins' skilled players. Cover 2 man's inside advantage makes it effective against the inside slant that frequently occurs in the RPO game. The corners can neutralise the Dolphins' speed game by applying pressure to the receivers, who can then be rerouted or jammed to prevent them from reaching full speed. The over-the-top safeties are there to protect against any attacks from Hill or Waddle.
